Youth Choir

Under the direction of Music Director Mrs. Hyunjung Choi, the Pacific Youth Choir has achieved remarkable milestones that underscore the unique clarity and force of musically trained mixed voices through recent concerts. 

The Pacific Youth Choir, composed of the students from 5th to 12th graders, appeared at many prestigious concert venues such as Herbst Theatre and Grace Cathedral in San Francisco. The choir performed various choral masterworks from Baroque to contemporary works. The choir presented a premiere of contemporary choral works by Bay Area composers and collaborated with highly respected professionals from San Francisco Opera and San Francisco Symphony Chorus. Choristers produced recordings with the reputed jazz musicians such as Ms. Clairdee from Jazz Church West, a Jazz concert series recognized nationwide. Other recent highlights include the United Nations 70th Anniversary Commemoration Concert in San Francisco in 2015 with Swedish Choir Kloster, and the Reformation 500 Concert at Grace Cathedral in San Francisco in 2017 performing Bach's Ein feste Burg ist unsert Gott (BWV 80). 

Choristers regularly participate in performance reviews, and masterclasses; these experiences and opportunities greatly enrich their musicianships and group dynamics. 

The Pacific Youth Choir rehearses weekly on Sundays, 6:10 PM - 8:40 PM, at Peace Lutheran Church (3201 Camino Tassajara Danville, CA).
